DESCRIPTIVE TEXT 1 : TRANSFORMATION OF THE DUMPSITE

 

Identification:

TPS or commonly referred to as Temporary Disposal Sites in schools, which are areas used to collect and manage waste from students, staff, and visiting guests. In my school, this TPS contains a lot of waste and then differentiated by type. TPS in school has a good purpose to create a clean, healthy, and comfortable environment to use.

Description 1:

The TPS at SMK N 4 Semarang is located in the corner of the school, at the end of the basketball court. The placement of waste is temporary, the waste is collected first and then sorted and distinguished according to its type. Usually, after the sorting process is complete, a waste transportation car will come to pick up the waste. This place must be considered because it must be far from the learning process of students and teachers to reduce unpleasant odors from garbage.

Description 2:

This temporary disposal site will be used to dispose of items that are no longer used or needed. TPS at school is made for the management of waste and garbage that will later be recycled, sold, or which will be completely disposed of. The TPS at my school provides containers of various types such as trash cans, sacks, and places to divert recyclable items. Garbage that is disposed of and then collected together to the TPS is very useful for keeping the school environment clean and maintaining its beauty, so that the teaching and learning process will run comfortably.

Description 3:

In addition to its practical function, this temporary disposal site can also be an opportunity for schools to educate students about the importance of proper waste management, the importance of the recycling process, and a means to preserve the school environment to keep it clean. All school residents are required to dispose of waste in the bins that have been provided and according to the type of waste. This is done because, so that the waste sorting process can be done easily and faster. That way, all school residents need to play an active role in waste management which will later understand how important waste is when it is recycled and will produce selling value.
